A new single and video, “Delicate Limbs” with Serpentwithfeet, has been dropped by multidisciplinary artist Virgil Abloh. This single follows Michael Kiwanuka’s hit, “Solid Ground,” his latest remix of the Mercury Award winner. Kordae Jatafa Henry directed the video, which was released with the single.
A-Trak, Roc Raida, and Invisibl Skratch Piklz were previously quoted by Abloh as his key sources of inspiration when he began DJing in the 1990s. His achievement in the music world comes as no surprise, having always said that “his only peace of mind offered him by DJing.”
One of his most influential positions includes serving as his creative director for live events on Kanye’s Yeezus Tour. Audio sensory is a central aspect of his artistry and at Off-WhiteTM and Louis Vuitton he manages to integrate music into his creations.
The collaborative video and song on Twitter and Instagram started teasing Serpentwithfeet yesterday. On YouTube, fans can see the short 15-second teaser trailer. Serpentwithfeet, an experimental musician based in Brooklyn, released his first EP Blisters in 2016, followed in 2018 by the debut album Soil.
He released his second EP, Apparition, in the year 2020.
“Delicate Limbs” is the first musical collaboration between Virgil Abloh and serpentwithfeet.
