The All-New UltraBOOST 21 Adidas Officially Unveils
The latest development of its UltraBOOST signature silhouette, upgrading the running sneaker to use the newest performance technology, has been revealed by adidas (XETRA:ADS.DE +1.05 percent). The sneaker’s main feature is its revamped torsion system, which includes LEP (“Linear Energy Push”) to make the shoe more responsive and an improved BOOST midsole for extra comfort and return of energy.
With an exaggerated heel curve allowing 6 percent more BOOST to be used on the UltraBOOST 21, the BOOST mechanism is the most visible feature of the sneaker. Another outstanding feature is the upper PRIMEKNIT+, which comes with a more specific knit designed to provide improved support and movement as well as being made of at least 50 percent Parley Ocean Plastic recycled material, PRIMEBLUE.
Adidas Running Senior Design Director Footwear Moritz Hollmüller revealed the launch, saying, “We have developed our most holistic running shoe ever, which is the ultimate expression of comfort and responsiveness, in creating the adidas ULTRABOOST 21.”
ULTRABOOST 21 takes all the aesthetic components that were part of the DNA of the original shoe and blends them with the latest technology, such as adidas LEP, to create a shoe that combines all these great features of design with unparalleled comfort, support and energy return.
The UltraBOOST 21 is expected to be published on January 28 via the adidas web store in an eye-catching white and “Fluorescent Yellow” colorway. Then there will be more colorways and limited-edition fall.
