New Balance’s 992 Given a Makeover in Juicy Purple
The 992 New Balance silhouette was pretty much 2020. The Boston-based sneaker label rounded off the year with a Christmas-themed release alongside Ronnie Fieg’s KITH, after finding itself at the centre of collaborations with JJJJound and WTAPS.
Now, as we begin to settle into 2021, New Balance shows the iconic silhouette in its latest colorway: a vivid purple and gray.
Sat atop the brand’s quintessential ABZORB midsole, a darker shaded mesh on the crown, alongside various reflective panels, is partnered by smooth suede purple overlays, while the midfoot’s N logo and accompanying tongue are dressed in their usual gray and white.
Each pair of sneakers arrives accompanied by a free pair of matching logo crew socks, available exclusively at Asphaltgold via an Instagram raffle. Set for release on January 12, the 992 purple and gray New Balance will retail at EUR 219 (approximately USD $ 270).
